These activities are located in the Costa Maya region and would be an option for you to tack on either side of your trip. Plan in advance with your local travel agency.
  • Visit Important Mayan archeological sites such as Chichen Itza, Tulum, Chacchoben, Coba, Kohunlich.
  • Visit Cenotes: a deep natural pit or sinkhole, characteristic of Mexico and Central America, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath. Especially associated with the Yucatán Peninsula and some nearby caribbean islands, cenotes were sometimes used by the ancient mayans for sacrificial offerings.
